IACA – International Association for Caribbean Archaeology: 2024

The International Association for Caribbean Archaeology (IACA) is an organization dedicated to promoting the study and preservation of archaeological heritage in the Caribbean region. Founded in 1980, IACA serves as a platform for archaeologists, scholars, students, and enthusiasts interested in Caribbean archaeology to collaborate, share research, and discuss issues related to the field.

The association facilitates conferences, workshops, and publications to foster dialogue and disseminate knowledge about the archaeology of the Caribbean. Its goals include advancing research, advocating for the protection of archaeological sites, promoting public awareness and appreciation of Caribbean heritage, and fostering international cooperation among archaeologists and related professionals working in the region.
