The 13th meeting of the Facilitative Working Group (FWG) of the Local Communities and Indigenous Peoples Platform (LCIPP) was held between the 10-13th of June 2025 in Bonn, Germany. This meeting, aimed at amplifying the vital role of Indigenous Peoples and local communities in climate action, saw a range of crucial subjects discussed and important decisions taken. These core topics relating to climate change actions will feed into discussions in the United Nations Climate Change June Climate Meetings (SB62) this week (16-26th June 2025).
We’re proud that our team member, Verónica Zuccarelli Freire, attended this event as an observer representing the Max Planck Society. Verónica’s presence ensures we stay connected to these critical global conversations.
More information about the FWG meeting is available here, while decisions from the meeting can be found here.
